After treatment we came home, grilled up some chicken and corn-on-the-cob, she tossed together some salad, sliced some watermelon, and we had a nice dinner. Then we drove across the river to Pasco where our son-in-law and nephew were playing a softball game. Brooke was there with the kids so we watched them all play for a while and came back home just as the sun was setting.

Evelyn, Lois' sister's mother-in-law, sent us some special treats this evening. She said she wasn't much for writing cards yet she wanted to do "something." Her peanut brittle is as they say, to die for, and that's what she sent.
I caught Lois sneaking some extra pieces before bed.
We had a spectacular lightning disply this evening! It's supposed to be cold Tuesday, only 89 degrees. We'll have to break out our jackets.

Hi Lois & Jim,
Thank you for the update. I'm happy to hear all is going so well with the chemo. I had a hair appointment this morning and then I had breakfast at Denny's before coming home. I hope your Mom is doing OK with all of this. We will always keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Wanda
Glad to hear how amazing Lois is doing. She is one tough cookie. Truly an inspiration to us all!!!! We still have you in our prayers daily and more!
love, grace
Dear Lois and Jim,
I heard rumblings that Lois was having troubles and so I wrote to Mary Jane and she confirmed the bad rumor. Along with that she sent the web site. We read all of it and then Susan Denchel told me that Jim was @ the 20 class reunion this week-end and told the story. We are very sorry you're having to go through all of this and we want you to know you're in our thoughts and prayers.

We are so glad to know, then to see how Lois was really holding up. You're a real trooper, Lois! Jim, you are a great support to your wife. We miss being your neighbors-greatly. Love you both.
Hi Guys,
Hooray! You are a fourth of the way through the chemo--we'll keep our fingers crossed that the rest goes as well. We'll keep you in our prayers, too, but you really can't discount that old crossed-fingers thing!
Love, Don & MJ
Lois & Jim,
I must have missed something if Jim was at the 20 year class reunion!! I was just at my 45 year class reunion & I always thought Jim was right behind me??? hmmm
Lois, you are doing so well - I'm so happy to hear you haven't had any after affects!!
Be careful of that peanut brittle - a friend of mine broke her front tooth!! She wouldn't leave the house!!
Dear anonymous poster who graduated 45 years ago. You are correct, both Lois and I graduated in 1964. The reference to the 20th reunion is for a class I taught that invited me to speak at theirs.
By the way, since there is no ref to that reunion on the blog (is there?), and there is no one in our email list that graduated one year ahead of us (actually there is one, Bill S., but I'm sure you aren't him), who are you?
Jim
Ok, I found the comment about the 20th reunion here in this series of comments. Bob and Peggy live where I used to teach and they heard about my comments at the reunion.
